Monthly Tastings
Tastings are held in our Club lounge on the SECOND
THURSDAY of every month, excluding December &
January. With attendances averaging 40 to 50
members, new members quickly get to know other
members, while tasting a range of wines in an
informal atmosphere.
Tastings range from wines from the large wineries,
such as Montana, Villa Maria, Nobilos, Orlando, to
other producers such as Hunters, Lincoln, Ballande
and to distributors such as Fine Wine Co,
Federal-Geo.
Each wine tasted is individually appraised and a
group average determines the Wine of the Night and
sometimes, the Weedkiller of the Night.

Knowledge & Fun
Members' wine knowledge ranges from almost
connoisseur standard to those who initially had
difficulty determining the difference between a red
and a white. The tastings are a fun evening and are
not too serious.
Tasting Themes
During the year we also run our own tasting themes -
such as blind, vertical and horizontal, wine quiz,
to wine critics and members choices.
Emphasis is on providing members with an opportunity
to taste a variety of wines normally available
locally, in the low to medium price range.
Door Charge
A door charge is payable, (usually $10.00 each),
with no joining fee.
Following each tasting, most members adjourn to the
dining area to "drink the dregs", if any, and to
discuss the wines tasted and get to know fellow Club
